Use this chart to find your size conversion.

All KEEN Footwear are in US size.

How to measure your foot length:

  1. Place a piece of paper against the wall.
  2. Stand on it with your heel against the wall.
  3. Mark where your longest toe ends (both feet)
  4. Measure from the edge of the paper to both marks in centimetres.
  5. Use the longest foot measurement and match it up to our size chart.

Use and Care

Sandal Washing Instructions

All KEEN water sandals (both leather and polyester webbing upper) are machine washable on a gentle cycle, in cold water and with a mild detergent. Also, allow to air dry. We've taken great care to develop leather uppers that will not crack, shrink, or stretch when washed.

Caring for Waterproof Shoes

To enhance product performance, we recommend cleaning your footwear in cold water with mild soap or detergent, and then let air dry without heat.

Caring for Synthetics

We recommend cleaning these products with mild soap and cold water. To remove excess dirt or to spot clean, use a stiff brush or soft cloth. Let shoes air dry without heat.

Caring for Footbeds

After extended use, we recommend you remove the footbed, wash by hand using a soft cloth and light detergent, and then let air dry without heat. Please do not machine-wash.

 

USE AND CARE FAQS

My KEEN footwear squeaks. Is there a remedy?

Occasionally the slick material in our shoes slides around and creates a noise with each footstep. To remedy the situation, start by removing the footbed, take a small piece of medium grit sand paper and gently buff the leather lining around the bottom of the shoe interior. Rough up the bottom of the footbed in the same way.

If this doesn’t work, the squeak is probably coming from the outsole, which could indicate a defect in workmanship. If you believe you have a defective pair of shoes, we encourage you to contact us at keenfootwearmalaysia@gmail.com

My shoes smell funny. What can I do?

If your shoes smell funny you can remove and machine wash the footbeds on a gentle cycle, then air dry. Then rub tea tree essential oil into the upper lining of the shoe and on the footbeds. You may also try Odor Eaters Powder applied directly to the inside of the shoes after wearing them. If your shoes do not have a removable foot bed, then you can hand wash the inside of the shoe with a gentle cleaning agent first.

If your KEEN water sandals smell funny, you can machine wash them with mild detergent in cold water on a gentle cycle. Then, air dry your sandals out of direct sunlight. Another option is hand-washing your sandals in the sink with NikWax Base Wash, an odor eliminating product for synthetic materials used in outdoor gear. When the sandals are clean and dry, you can rub tea tree essential oil into the upper lining and footbed for extra help.

What length shoelaces do I need?

To find the correct shoelace length, count the lace eyelets on just one side of your shoe. For example, if you have 12 eyelets total, you'll want to look for the 6 eyelet lace length.

What is the biggest shoe size KEEN makes?

We offer some shoes in up to a Men’s size 13 and a Women’s size 10. It is best to search by size on the Men’s or Women’s landing pages to see what shoes are available in your specific size.

What is the difference between EVA and PU?

KEEN mid-soles will be made up of EVA or PU materials. Both provide excellent comfort, but there are key differences between the two. 

PU (Polyurethane)

PU is an organic polymer known for it's resilience and compression resistance. It is slightly heavier with a higher density, but in footwear it excels when it comes to durability. PU will provide you with the "millionth step comfort" you find in styles like the Durand and Braddock. 

EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate)

EVA is a synthetic polymer known for it's superior cushioning. It is a lightweight polymer which still maintains excellent shock absorption. Due to it's lower density structure, EVA can compress over time which means it will start providing less support after significant wear. EVA will provide you with the superior lightweight cushioning you find in styles like the Targhee II and the Newport sandal. 

How does your sizing works for KIDS?

Our kids sizing is broken down into four categories:

Little Kids - Sizes U.S. 8-13

Big Kids - Sizes U.S. 1-6

After big kids size U.S. 6, the next size up is U.S. men's size 7.

Newport Sandal FAQ

What is the difference between the Newport and Newport H2?

The Newport and Newport H2 are both built with the same last so they will fit and feel almost identical in support and structure. The differences are in the materials used. The Newport is built with leather straps and a microfiber footbed for maximum comfort. The Newport H2 was built for the water, so instead of leather, the straps are built with nylon webbing and microfiber. The H2 footbed uses an EVA material instead of microfiber. The result: Newport H2 dries much faster than the original Newport. 

Can the Newport be used for backpacking and thru-hiking?

Versatility is part of the Newport design, but it completely depends on your personal hiking needs and preferences. Some backpackers and thru-hikers pack a pair of Newports to wear in wet conditions or while in camp. Generally people will wear an enclosed hiking boot or shoe and just bring the Newport to supplement that. We recommend medium to light day hikes with the Newport.

How do you wash the Newport?

All KEEN water sandals are machine washable. We’ve also taken great care to develop leather uppers that will not crack, shrink or stretch when washed. Even KEEN leather Newport sandals are machine washable! Use a small amount of detergent, wash on gentle cycle and air dry.

Have there been any changes to the Newport?

The Newport design has not changed since we released it in 2003. In the production year of 2008 we switched manufacturing locations and some customers who were on the edge of their size ended up needing to size up after that. This is the same time that we officially started suggesting a 1/2 size up from your normal KEEN size, but they've always fit a little small.

Does the Newport use any odor control?

Yes! In the past we have used an antimicrobial in our sandal styles that is meant to keep odor to a minimum. We were not impressed with the potential environmental impact of the substances used to remain odor-free though, so we do not use the heavy duty odor control you may find in other footwear because of the environmental impact (since our sandals are likely to be found on trails and in natural environments). As a result, we have discontinued the use of antimicrobial materials altogether and have switched to a natural pro-biotic odor control method called Cleansport NXT.

We stand behind all KEEN shoes and boots and guarantee them to be free from manufacturing defects for one year from the confirmed date of purchase. We have a team of KEEN Fitters that are here to help you to find your fit. 

Please note to qualify for warranty claim, item bought must be registered under our warranty policy. 

What’s covered?

All KEEN footwear purchased only directly at keenfootwear.com.my Keen Garage stores and Authorised dealers in Malaysia. 

Defects in original, unaltered, and unmodified materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.

Targhee IV: Separation of the sole through our lifetime delamination-free guarantee.

What’s not covered?

• Damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper care, misuse, accident, neglect, or the natural breakdown of materials over time, including improper fit or comfort issues. 

• Products acquired from unauthorized dealers and aftermarket sources — such as online auction sites, liquidators, consignment shops, private sellers, sales samples, promotional products, and final sale/warehouse sales.

• Laces, lace hardware, and insoles are not covered by our warranty.

How it works

Submit a warranty claim with proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or credit card statement with personal info blacked out) that shows the date of purchase. If your claim is approved, you’ll receive a warranty credit in the amount of the original purchase price to use on keenfootwear.sg or a replacement product (same or comparable) at the discretion of KEEN.

This credit expires 3 months from the issue date. (Note: If you purchased directly through a retailer, we will require original receipt for proof of purchase.)

1) Gather all necessary information

• Product tag number or style name
• Color(s)
• Men’s, women’s or kids’?
• Description/photos of the defect, a full image of the product, and an image of the tag.
• Date and place of purchase (attach image of receipt)

2) Completely fill out our online claim form and submit here

3) Respond back to your confirmation email with photos of:

• Full image of the product
• Photo of the defect
• Photo of the product tag
• Photo of receipt

    4)Our customer service team will review your claim and reply in 7-10 business days. 

    Additional Details

    • All cash refunds must be obtained through the original purchaser.
    • All KEEN warranty decisions are final.
    • Approved warranty product is replaced at the discretion of KEEN.
    • KEEN is not responsible for any cost, or damages, incurred due to loss of use of the product.
    • Warranty store credits cannot be combined with sale pricing.

    1. All Sales Are Final

    All purchases made through keenfootwear.com.my are considered final and non-returnable. We do not accept requests for returns or refunds after an order has been confirmed.

    2. No Refunds/Returns

    Once an order has been successfully placed and payment has been received, all payments are non-refundable

    Customers are therefore advised to carefully review all product details and order information before completing their purchase.

    3. Order Confirmation

    By placing an order with keenfootwear.com.my, the customer confirms that they have reviewed and accepted the product details, pricing, quantity, size, colour, delivery information, and the terms of this policy.

    4. Product Issues

    If an item is received damaged, defective, or materially different from the product ordered, please contact our customer service team promptly with the relevant order details and supporting evidence. Any resolution in such circumstances will be handled in accordance with our applicable policies and legal obligations.

    5. Policy Acceptance

    keenfootwear.com.my reserves the right to amend this policy where necessary. Any updated policy will be published on our website and will take effect from the stated effective date.

    Please ensure that you are satisfied with your purchase before completing your order, as all sales are final.

    Defective Products

    Any KEEN product purchased on keenfootwear.com.my; that is delivered defective may be sent back to us for a replacement if the product is available, this includes any factory flaws (Loose stitching etc) KEEN does not accept any worn or damaged products as returns.
